Art is taught by Ms. Lan, Ms. Hu Yu, and Ms. Lelin.
Hu Yu is an experienced painter with a unique approach to art education. With a background in working with natural materials such as leaves, rocks, and shells, Hu Yu brings a fresh perspective to the world of art. She has exhibited her work internationally and received praise for her innovative techniques and captivating creations.
Through self-study and innovation, Hu Yu has dedicated many years to researching natural materials such as leaves, rocks, and seashells for painting. In 2003, she came to the United States and participated
in various art exhibitions, including the Chinese-American Art and Calligraphy Exhibition, Asian-American Cultural Exhibition, International Art and Cultural Exchange Exhibition, Personal Painting Art Creation Exhibition, and collaborative art exhibitions involving teachers and students. She was invited by Telos Fitness's CEO to hold her own solo art exhibition, receiving praise each time. Her works were collected by the Consul General in Houston and renowned individuals both domestically and internationally.
Hu Yu's art encompasses a fusion of traditional Chinese painting composition, Western painting techniques, woodblock printing, and sculptural freehand art, featuring strong visual impact and a three-dimensional quality. This could be considered a new artistic genre. Additionally, due to Hu Yu's use of raw, untouched natural materials, her pieces are esteemed for being "green" and environmentally friendly.
With years of experience in teaching painting, Hu Yu has accumulated two decades of rich expertise. Tailoring her teaching to students' interests and passions, she employs distinctive techniques and methods that stand out. By engaging in outdoor activities such as traveling, sketching at scenic spots, and camping, she instills a love for nature and life in her students, fostering their interest in art and enhancing their aesthetic appreciation. As a result, the art classes she leads are beloved by both adults and children.
